Bandits have stormed an internally displaced people camp in Abagena, along Makurdi-Lafia highway, in Benue state, killing at least six people, injuring others.
The attack was launched at early hours of Tuesday.
Witnesses say IDPs were seen fleeing the camp, looking for cover from the attackers.
There is no official response from Benue state police command, or the state government.
