Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is leading other prominent members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on a “Save Nigeria Democracy” protest in Abuja.
Sighted in the match were former Senate President, David Mark and former governors of Rivers, Kano, and Osun States, Rotimi Amaechi, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Rauf Aregbesola.
They began the march at the Maitama Roundabout in the city, going through the streets of Abuja and are expected to lead them to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Atiku and the ADC are accusing the electoral umpire of working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to undermine the country’s democracy.
Some of the protesters carry placards reading “Hands off our courts”, among others.
Amaechi was seen in a van speaking to the protesters as they marched through the streets of the nation’s capital.
