Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello on Monday took over as the acting national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the removal of Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State.
This is coming few hours after the party through its national secretary Senator John James Akpanudoedehe denied in a statement that there was no leadership change in the party.
Buni was chairman of the ruling party’s caretaker Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee committee in the last two years.
The Niger governor is currently presiding over a meeting of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and State chairmen of the party at the national headquaters of the party in Abuja.
