Borno State Government has set up five- man panel to investigate the circumstances surrounding the slitting of a student’s throat.
Jibril Sadi Mato of El-Kanemi Islamic Theology school Maiduguri, had his throat slit by his senior colleague following a disagreement between the duo.
The team is headed by Alhaji Sadiq Kadafur, Secretary, Borno State Ministry of Education.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mohammed Mustapha Abacha, announcing the composition of the team, said other members of the team include a representative of the Commissioner of Police, representative of the DSS, representative of the Commandant of the NSCDC and Director Quality Assurance, Ministry of Education, Hajiya Hadiza Nasiru Wali, has one week to submit its report to the state commissioner of education.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the Police arrested a SS2 student, Umar Goni, for allegedly attempting to murder a junior colleague.
Goni allegedly used a razor blade to slit the throat of Jibrin Sadi Mata, his younger colleague, after a minor disagreement.
