A third bomb explosion in the last 30 days has rocked Jalingo, Taraba state capital, again.
On April 19, 2022, no fewer than three persons have been confirmed killed following a bomb explosion that rocked a drinking joint at a cattle market in Iware Community, a suburb of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of the state.
Three days later, another bomb blast occurred in a bar in Nukkai area of Jalingo, killing about six people.
The latest explosion, without casualty, took place Tuesday night near a military base on Jolly Nyame Road in Jalingo.
The blast occurred at the gate of the base, indicating the Army base while residents close to the base said it might be inside the base.
The army has blocked the road leading to the base redirecting motorists to other roads.
Residents in many parts of the state capital reportedly said they heard the loud bang of the explosion.
Spokesperson of Taraba police command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, said there was a bomb blast, adding that there was no casualty.
