Ngerian troops have repelled Boko Haram terrorists attack Monday night when they invaded Gwoza town in Gwoza local government area of Borno state.
Gwoza is the hometown of Senator Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South), and Chairman Senate committee on the Army.
Ground troops with support from the air force fighter jet Monday night killed three Boko Haram terrorists and destroyed two gun trucks in Wulgo, Gamboru Ngala local government area of Borno.
A security source told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the insurgents attempted to attack Wulgo, 7 kilometers from Ngala town, when troops engaged them and foiled the attack.
The source said the terrorists came with five gun trucks out of which two were destroyed by the air force fighter jet, while the remaining three were recovered from the terrorists by troops.
