Five people were killed and 30 women abducted when Boko Haram attacked Kwapre, a village in Hong local government area of Adamawa.
Kwapre is on Adamawa-Borno boarder near the Sambisa forest, former command base of Boko Haram terrorists.
The insurgents also burnt some houses and carted away valuable properties during the attack that was carried out on Friday evening, a source told 21st Century Chronicle on Saturday.
It was learnt that residents have fled the village after the attack.
Member representing Gombi/ Hong Federal Constituency, Yusuf Buba, described the attack as said “a bitter setback” to a community, which is struggling to put their experience in the hands of the insurgents behind it.
Spokesperson Adamawa State, Police Command, Suleiman Nguroje, said he had no mandate to speak on Boko Haram incidents.
