Boseman died August 28, 2020, but had achieved international fame for his role in Black Panther, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019.
In 2016, Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer. He kept his condition private, continuing to act while also extensively supporting cancer charities until his death from the illness.
Ryan Coogler, the Director of Black Panther wrote “one of the more profound things that I’ve gone through in my life, is having to be a part of keeping this project going without Chadwick Boseman, who is like the glue who held it together.”
Expected to premiere in July 2022, ‘Black Panther II’ will reportedly pay tribute to Boseman.
The sequel of Black Panther written by Joe Robert Cole and Ryan Coogler will not recast anyone for the T’Challa role nor will there be a digital double, Pulse.ng reports.
