Members of a vigilante group on Tuesday engaged some bandits who attempted to attack the Bugai community in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State.
The bandits had returned to the community hours after they abducted some pupils and three teachers of UBE Rama in the same local government area.

He said no bandit was killed, as they withdrew after fierce engagement with the group.
The source said all schools in the area have been closed due to Rama pupils abduction of Monday.
The schools, according to him, include schools in Zaman Daji, Dagara, Bugar as well as Government Girls Junior and senior secondary school Bagoma.
