A 29-year-old woman, Torkwase Kpile, has allegedly stabbed her husband, Igbah Kpile, to death over demand for sex.
The incident happened on Sunday in their Achusa Village home in Benue state.
The couple, married only two months ago, reportedly got into an argument over sex, according to a local source.
Torkwase is said to have grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Igbah in the neck and other parts of his body before he collapsed.
Alerted by Igbah’s screams, neighbors rushed to the house to find him in a pool of blood. Torkwase reportedly showed no remorse and claimed her husband was “disturbing her for sex.”
Neighbors rushed Igbah to a nearby clinic, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Torkwase reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.
Benue State Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspect.
