The Secretary to State Government (SSG), Deborah Serumun, announced Ode’s death on Saturday.
She said Ode passed away on Saturday after a brief illness.
The SSG described the late Ode as a seasoned technocrat and a respected authority in public service, whose sudden death was a significant loss to the state.
She said Ode was widely regarded for his credibility, dedication, and immense contributions to the development and efficiency of the Benue State Civil Service.
According to the SSG, Ode’s tenure was defined by hard work, professionalism, and a commitment to institutional excellence.
The state government condoles the deceased’s family, friends, associates, and the entire civil service community in the state, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul.
