Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has appointed Alhaji Abubakar Adamu as Chairman, Benue State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The governor’s spokesperson Tersoo Kula, made this known on Thursday in Makurdi.
He said the appointment takes immediate effect.
The governor believed that given his experience and proven track record, Adamu would properly and diligently steer the affairs of Muslim pilgrims at all times.
He emphasised the importance of upholding the ideals of his administration and urged him to prioritise the interests of Benue in all his official engagements.
The governor urged the new chairman of the board to familiarise himself with the vision and mission of the administration, as outlined in the blueprint titled “A Strategic Plan for a Greater Benue,” which would serve as a guide.
