Gunmen have abducted Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Ekpe Ogbu.
Mr Ogbu was kidnapped alongside Agbo Ode, one of his in-laws and his driver around 8:45pm on Sunday.
The victims were picked along David Marks Farm, after Akpa Otobi while on their way from Otukpo to Utonkon in Ado Local Government Area of the state.
Mr Ogbu was said to have attended a Church service, where Senator Abba Moro (Benue South, PDP), dedicated his newly inaugurated Campaign Council to God at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Otukpo.
It was revealed that the commissioner was kidnapped in his way to his village in Ndekerma, Utonkon District of Ado LGA after the Church programme.
His official vehicle had since been recovered from the scene and taken to the Divisional Police office in Otukpo.
There was no immediate statement from the police or Benue State government.
