Fifteen students and a teacher of College of Agriculture and Animal Health in Bakura, Zamfara state, have been abducted by bandits.
The gunmen also abducted the wife of the teacher and his two children.
The deputy registrar of the college, Aliyu Bakura told BBC Hausa on Monday that the students were abducted Sunday night around 10pm.
Zamfara is the epicenter of banditry in the country.
The assailants have kidnapped thousands of people for ransom, including students, women and children.
On February 26, 2021, the bandits invaded Government Girls Science Secondary School, Jangebe, Zamfara state and abducted many female students but were later released after spending weeks in custody.
