Bandits have killed at least 21 people and rustled dozens of cows during multiple attacks in three communities in Batsari local government area of Katsina state.
A source told the 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the assailants killed 19 people in Tsauwa and two others Ajiya and Yansore, all in the same local government during separate attacks on Sunday.
He said the gunmen also set some parts of the community ablaze.
Magajin Yansore, Abdurrazaq Mamman, confirmed the attack, saying one of the victims was killed in his farm.
He said the bandits came with sophisticated weapons, killed the two people, injured three others and rustled over 35 cows.
The spokesperson of Katsina police command, SP Gambo Isa, promised to get details of the attack and revert to our reporter.
