Badarawa attack
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that the bandits have also attacked Badarawa community Monday morning, where an unspecified number of people are also said to have been kidnapped.
Jamil Garba Shinkafi, a youth advocate, told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE through phone that the bandits sent a warning before striking Badarawa community.
“What we suspect is that Turji is angry with people of Shinkafi and Zurmi local government areas for not protesting the new security measures as imposed by the governor. Some of the bandits even told people that they will see who is in charge between them and Matawalle (the state governor)
“They said if he is stopping them from getting fuel and other commodities, they will continue to unleash terror on the people,” he said.
Our reporter gathered that the bandits were still in some villages under the Badarawa community.
The spokesperson of the police in the state, SP Mohammed Shehu, didn’t respond to calls and SMS sent to him.
