Bandits have attacked another community in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state, killing two persons, kidnapping 20 others.
The attack came barely four days after a district head in the area, his son and brother were kidnapped.
20 persons, including women and children were said to be abducted in the latest attack which took place at Tsamaye village on Tuesday.
Confirming the attack, the member representing Sabon Birni South constituency at the state House of Assembly, Aminu Boza, said they invaded the village in the night.
“They Killed two person and injured one who is currently receiving treatment.
” They also kidnapped 20 persons, including 18 women,” he said
A resident of Tsamaye, Murtala Tsamaye told our reporter that, children were among the abductees.
Boza however, faulted the non-kinetic strategy adopted by the federal government In fighting banditry in the region.
