Bandits have reportedly killed three Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship delegates in Niger State.
The victims were two women and a male.
The delegates were said to have met their death in an ambush by bandits between Mariga and Tegina on Wednesday.
They were returning to Mariga local government area following the postponement of the PDP governorship when the incident happened.
PDP had shifted the primary to Thursday following a protest over delegates list.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo who made the announcement at the State PDP Secretariat, venue of the primary in Minna, on Thursday, ordered a minute of silence be observed for the deceased.
He therefore directed that the victims be substituted to complete the number of delegates from the affected local government.
