Bandits have killed a lecturer with the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State, Dr. Tiri Gyan David.
The bandits also made away with his two children after they killed him in the early hours of Tuesday.
Dr David who was the Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Extension, and Rural Development of the university, lived at Yarima Quarters, Low-Cost Estate, Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
A source said the gunmen stormed the community with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically to scare the residents.
Katsina Police Command spokesperson, Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, said the command would make a statement about it later, which it has not done as at the time of this report.
