Bandits have killed four locals, injured eight and kidnapped 15 villagers when they stormed Fapo village, in Lapai Local Government Area of the state.
The attackers, according to a villager, Danlami Idris, stormed the area on Sunday, shot sporadically at their victims, adding that the attack lasted for hours.
“We have never experienced such an attack before; the attack is horrible considering the number of deaths recorded as well as injuries,” Idris said.
He pleaded with the government and security agencies to protect lives and property to avoid future attacks in the community.
Calls to the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, were not picked or returned.
