Three persons have died when six armed bandits invaded Warsa Piti and Randagi villages in Lere and Birni Gwari local government area of Kaduna.
Several other people also sustained injuries and many shops looted during the attack.
A statement by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said prompt response by the military in the air and on the ground helped in knocking back the bandits.
He said two people, Sale Muhammad and Aguno Bawuro, were killed in Warsa Piti in Lere local government area, while one Dantani Maifaskari was killed in Birnin Gwari local government area.
