Kidnappers have abducted Malam Ibrahim Sarkin Fada, the Village Head of Kasuwar Daji in Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, in the early hours of Thursday.
A local of the area, Malam Audu Mohammed, who revealed this said the district was whisked away from his residence.
Mohammed said the bandits who were in large numbers invaded the village went straight to the village head’s house and took him to their camp.
He said the kidnappers fired many gunshots to frighten the villagers who wanted to rescue their village head.
Mohammed said, “I was in my house when I heard gunshots around 2:30 to 3:00 am Thursday.”
“I was called later around 4 am by a friend who told me that our district head was abducted.”
