Bandits invaded Kogori village of Matazu area in Katsina State and abducted the village head, Bello Abdulkarimu, his daughter and other women on Tuesday.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the Matazu area is now the most vulnerable area in the state as bandits continue to launch attacks on residents and security agents.
Local sources told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE on Wednesday that the bandits abducted five women alongside the monarch.
“After abducting the village head and his daughter, the bandits also abducted the wife of Wakilin Mai gari and her daughter. They moved to another house and abducted two other women,” a source who simply gave his name as Salisu told this reporter over the phone.
The police spokesman in the state, Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu didn’t respond to SMS and WhatsApp messages sent to him over the attack.
