Bandits have reportedly kidnapped the mother of famous Hausa political singer Dauda Adamu (Rarara).
Hajiya Halima Dauda Kahutu was kidnapped in the early hours of Friday at her Kahutu residence, in Danja local government area of Katsina state.
Sources close to the singer told our reporter that the suspected bandits stormed her Kahutu residence, wielding guns but didn’t fire a single shot.
The source said the suspected bandits took away the aged woman leaving everyone present in the house unhurt as no one resisted or confronted them.
Another source revealed that the aged mother of the singer was initially relocated to Mano, but insisted that she needed to be with her people and she was taken back to Kahutu to celebrate Sallah with family members.
It was also revealed that the suspected abductors are yet to make any demand.
However, the singer Rarara couldn’t be reached as at the time of filing this report because his phone numbers were not going through.
