For the second time in seven days, gunmen have stormed Okoloke community, in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and kidnapped another four.
With the latest attack, eight people have now been kidnapped in the community within seven days.
On Thursday last week, the bandits abducted the traditional ruler of the Ofoloke community, 91-year-old HRH Dada James Ogunyanda, from his palace around 2am.
The kidnappers had demanded N100 million which was negotiated down to N50 million.
On Saturday, the armed men killed three persons, suspected to be hunters/vigilantes in a gun battle in the community.
“The armed men again invaded our community in the early hours of Tuesday and went straight into the residence of Ezekiel Durojaiye, a retiree and respected community leader in nearby Okunran village in Ofoloke community.
It was learnt that on Wednesday morning the locals have started leaving the community in droves due to the attacks.
The state Police spokesperson SP William Aya, had yet to respond to calls and text as of the time of filing this report.
