Bandits have kidnapped Mr. Steven Ibrahim, the District Head of Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The traditional ruler was kidnapped along with his two companions, it was learned.
The abduction occurred as they were leaving a reservation center situated behind Bethel Baptist School along the Kaduna-Kujama highway on Sunday evening at around 7:00 pm, 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE has gathered.
It was learned that the District Head and his companions were accosted by gunmen on motorcycles who took him at gunpoint.
The incident unfolded near Bethel Baptist School, with witnesses from nearby communities stating that they observed the victims being transported on motorcycles into the nearby bush.
Confirming the incident, Ibrahim Saleh, the Ardon Ardodi of Chikun Local Government, expressed his dismay.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the State Police Command.
The Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, couldn’t be reached by phone, and there was no reply to the text message sent to him.
