Bandits have demanded petrol, cigarettes and recharge cards as ransom for the village head of Rijana, Mr. Ayuba Dodo Dakolo.
Rijana, a community along the famous Abuja-Kaduna highway, is one of the notorious spots of kidnappers. It is located in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The village head was abducted alongside other farmers at Kurmi, near Chikwale in the same LGA.
Sources in Rijana told journalists that the kidnappers have reached out to the community leaders in the village with two lists.
Some of the items on the lists include gallons of petrol, engine oil, as well as cigarettes.
There is no immediate comment from the spokesperson of the Kaduna police command, ASP Mohammed Jalige.
