A mother and her four children have been abducted by bandits at their residence in Oil Village, in Sabon Tasha community of Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.
The victims were abducted early Saturday morning, according to residents of the area.
Spokesperson of Kaduna Police Command, Jalige Mohammed, said the incident happened simultaneously with another kidnap attempt that was foiled by security agencies in same community on same day.
Mohammed said the victims were taken to an unknown destination, adding that investigation into the two incidents has commenced.
He urged members of the public to promptly report suspicious situations and incidences to elicit a quick positive response from the command.
