- Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu, has been abducted at his residence in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources said bandits abducted the second-class monarch alongside 12 of his family members which include women and children.
The emir was abducted around 12:30 am on Saturday.
This attack is coming some hours after President Muhammadu Buhari directed the military to crush the bandits terrorizing the country.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that on April 20, 2019, Kajuru came into the limelight after kidnappers killed a British lady, Faye Mooney, her Nigerian guide, and abducted three others at the Kajuru Castle, a famous tourist recreational resort.
The bandits demanded N60 million ransom before freeing three staff of the castle.
Mooney was a British aid worker who was a communications specialist for aid group Mercy Corps before her death.
Her local guide was identified as Mathew Danjuma Oguche who worked with an international Non-Governmental Organisation.
