Bandits have kidnapped house wives and children in Zangon Shanu and Unguwar Liman in Sabon Gari Local Government, Kaduna state.
The attack happened in the early hours of Friday.
Security sources said married women and their children were taken away when the bandits struck the communities.
“They did house to house attack, taking away mostly married women and their children,” a source told our reporter.
Kaduna police command spokesperson , ASP Mohammed Jalige, however, said only four people were kidnapped without giving further details.
He added that the police had deployed operatives of its anti-kidnap unit and operatives of “Operation Puff Adder’’ for the fortification of the area and a manhunt of the assailants.
Jalige urges citizens to always provide security agencies with useful information for proactive measures against kidnapping and banditry.
