Bandits have abducted 19 people from Kutunku village in Wushishi local government area of Niger State.
A source said the bandits invaded the village in the early hours of Monday, and shot sporadically in the air to scare the residents.
The source said the bandits also beat some residents during the attack. He added that the bandits have not communicated to the families of the abducted persons.
The spokesperson, Niger State Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun, did not respond to calls put across to his mobile phone.
