Armed bandits have abducted 10 villagers at Old Birnin Yero village, located along Kaduna- Zaria highway.
21st CENTURY CENTURY learnt the incident occurred on Monday night around 11pm. The bandits were said to have sneaked into the village and abducted their victims and left without shooting anybody.
Sources in the village said the bandits took away two sons of the community leader, including three married women with other residents as they went house to house picking the victims.
Details of the whereabouts of the victims were not known at the time of filing the report as the villagers were scared to speak on the issue.
The Kaduna Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, is yet to make an official comment on the incident after being contacted.
