Presidents Joyce Banda of Malawi, John Kufuor of Ghana and Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone as well as eminent Nigerians including former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonatahn as well as former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo Osinbajo are attending the 50 years Murtala Muhammed International Lecture and Leadership Conference holding in Abuja.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II; the wife of the late Head of State, Hajia Ajoke Muhammed; and Dr. Isha Mohammed Oyebade, daughter of the former Head of State are also attending the event.
Members of the diplomatic corps, academia, and industry leaders are equally present.
The late Gen Murtala who was assassinated on February 13 ruled Nigeria from July 1975 and February 1976.
