Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has formally joined the African Democratic Congress in Adamawa State,
He undertook his registration on Monday. following Atiku’s announcement to ADC supporters and stakeholders in Adamawa over the weekend.
One of his aides, Abdul Rasheeth, announced this on Monday.
Videos and photos from the event showed Atiku’s convoy arriving in the town to the cheers of supporters, who beat drums, sang, and carried placards with his image.
Atiku waved and returned greetings to the crowd from his vehicle as he received his ADC membership card.

This move was a mere formality as Atiku has been fully involved in the formation, meetings, registration of the ADC process, among others right from the oneset.
He had previously endorsed the coalition party, in July as a platform for opposition figures, including Peter Obi and Babachir Lawal, to challenge President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
With the former vice president’s registration, the ADC is expected to wax to consolidate the opposition ahead of the next general election.
