Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday, received score of decampees who joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State.
The former vice president received the decampees who are mostly members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside Governor Ahmadu Fintiri at the Ahmadu Ribadu Square in Jimeta, Yola.
Among the defectors were Bello Jada, a famous politician in the state; Nedo Kufaltu; Commodore Sali Bodes (rtd); Mr Kobis Arithemnu, a former Secretary to the State Government, Mr Phillips Gatua and Daniel Bwala.
Atiku welcomed the new comers to the PDP, while assuring that the party would provide the enabling environment for them all.
He assured them that PDP would recapture the presidency in 2023, noting that APC has failed Nigerians by entrenching poverty and other pains in the land.
On his part, Governor Fintiri also assured the new members that PDP would accord them all the privileges that old members enjoyed.
