The Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has said that his passion for education comes from his heart.
He disclosed this after commissioning the Atiku Abubakar School of Social and Management Sciences at the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) in Kano State, Wednesday.
The former Vice President said the commissioning was another high point of his visit to the state.
Sharing photos of the commissioning on his Facebook page, Atiku said, “It is a privilege to commission the Atiku Abubakar School of Social and Management Sciences at the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria in Kano today. This is another high point of my visit to Kano.
“My passion for education comes from the heart and a lifetime of experience seeing its huge transformative impact. -AA”
Also present with Atiku is his running mate for the 2023 presidential election and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa.
He was accompanied by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state, former Governors Sule Lamido (Jigawa) Senator Ibrahim Shekarau (Kano), Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto), and PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu, among others.
The Wazirin Adamawa was highly received by Founder MAAUN Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, the President MAAUN, Professor Mohammad Israr and other principal officers from the university’s management.
Mr Atiku expressed his appreciation and prayed for the successes of the entire Faculty, the Students and the University at large.
He commended the MAUUN founder for the extraordinary establishment of a first class educational dynasty in Africa.
