The decision by Kano State’s Executive Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to join All Progressive Congress (APC) is the best thing that’s happened to the state recently. This move shifted Kano state politics from single-digit opposition to positioning Kano on a path of growth and development. Gov. Yusuf among other reasons joined APC to attract critical projects, ensuring stability, progress, and improved well-being for Kano’s people, as he stated in his speeches.

Kano residents were thrilled, knowing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cares deeply for the state. Even before Yusuf joined APC, Tinubu approved numerous projects. Now, aligned with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Kano will receive more. Gov. Yusuf already announced Tinubu’s approval of the ₦1 trillion Kano Metropolitan City Rail project.

Kano will witness massive development, benefiting from both state and federal projects. Gov. Yusuf should as leader of Kano people and APC monitor on going projects by President Tinubu administration in Kano which are about thirty including on going constructions of projects and newly approved ones. Gov. Yusuf should talk to President Tinubu also about when will work on Modern Bus Terminal construction begin as its a project approved for each zone in the country.
Kano state has been suffering from lack of adequate good drinking water. Due to growing population and rapid expansion, Kano is facing acute water scarcity. Gov. Yusuf should request President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to approve a Greater Kano Water Supply Project (like the ongoing in Abuja and Dutse in Jigawa) to end water scarcity in Kano and environs.

And Gov. Yusuf should request for a partnership from President Tinubu for partnership with Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Authority, Kano so as to repair and restore all water storage facilities in Kano state to supplement water for household usage and boost irrigation.

Gov. Yusuf should also request President Tinubu to upgrade Federal Fire Service (FFS) Kano state command with redeployment and employment of more personnels, modern firefighting equipments and seek for waiver on taxes on vehicles etc for Kano State Fire Service so as help contain fire outbreaks.

As the leader of APC in Kano, Gov. Yusuf should embrace all and make APC as one body and entity in Kano state.

Combining Yusuf’s projects with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Agenda, Kano will develop rapidly, and will ranking among Africa’s top places in near future. Closing opposition politics, Yusuf will secure second term with about two million votes for ensuring continuity and unity.

United under APC, Kano will vote massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and like the governorship election, President Tinubu will get not less than 2 million votes come 2027 presidential election.
