Nigeria army on Friday confirmed the killing of an officer and 10 soldiers by hoodlums in Konshisha local government area of Benue State.
Army spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Yerima said this in a statement on Friday.
21st Century Chronicle reports that some hoodlums on Tuesday attacked a military logistics vehicle and carted away weapons and N28 million meant for soldiers that were deployed to quell communal crisis in Oju and Konshisha local government area of Benue state.
Yerima said the bodies of slain troops were evacuated, and efforts are ongoing to track down the perpetrators of the crime in order to bring them to justice.
