The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the Commissioner for Lands and Survey in Nasarawa State, Dr Salihu Alizaga.
Alizaga was suspended by the party chapter in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area for alleged insubordination.
The suspension was announced by the APC chairman in the council, Mr. Malle Moses, on Thursday.
The chairman said the decision was reached after receiving a formal complaint against Alizaga from the party leadership in his ward.
He said a seven- man committee has been set up to investigate the allegation levelled against the commissioner.
“It is in view of this, the leadership of the party at the local government level decided to suspend the commissioner pending the outcome of the investigation on his alleged insubordination,” Moses said.
Alizaga was accused of convening a factional meeting of the party ahead of the council to discuss the forthcoming congresses and zoning without the knowledge of the party leadership in his ward and LG.
