The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, screened 28 aspirants that picked the expression of interest and nomination forms for the Zamfara State House of Assembly seats.
Zamfara has 14 local government councils but delineated to 24 state constituencies based on land mass area and population.
The national secretariat of the APC had deployed 7-member screening committee led by Babagana Tijjani Banki to the state for the exercise.
Other members of the committee include Hon. Wakil Aliyu, Abubakar Yarima, Faruk Ibrahim Tsiga, Hon. Abdullahi Musa and Adamu Ibrahim while Fadima Ibrahim is the secretary.
According to a statement by the publicity secretary of the party in the state, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the exercise which took place at the Command Guest House in Gusau went smoothly without any hitches.
The statement quoted the chairman as commending the aspirants for their good conduct while the exercise lasted, adding that the party was committed to ensuring Justice and fair play in all its activities.
The chairman assured that the report of the committee would be submitted to the national secretariat of the party for further action.
