The North-West zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, affirming its confidence in his leadership and vision for the country.
The endorsement followed a stakeholders’ meeting held on Saturday in Kaduna, which brought together a powerful lineup of APC leaders. Present at the meeting were all serving governors from the North West, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Deputy Senate President, and several former governors from the region.
Also in attendance were the APC National Chairman, state party chairmen, members of the National and State Assemblies, ministers, heads of federal agencies, and other senior political appointees.
In a communiqué read by the APC North West Coordinating Governor, Senator Uba Sani, the zone pledged its unwavering loyalty to the party and declared total support for President Tinubu’s re-election.
“We thank and commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his purposeful leadership, bold reforms, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress, especially in the North West zone,” said Governor Uba Sani.
He noted that the region had seen notable improvements in security under Tinubu’s leadership.
“Under President Tinubu, security in the North West has significantly improved, enabling farmers to return to their fields and communities to regain peace and stability,” he added.
The communiqué further highlighted the region’s elevated presence in federal governance.
“Our zone enjoys unprecedented federal representation with 12 ministers, key National Assembly positions, and top security appointments — a clear sign of inclusiveness and recognition.”
The stakeholders also pointed to significant development strides across the region.
“Major infrastructure projects are being completed or are underway across the North West, marking a new era of development in our region.”
They concluded with a resounding endorsement of the APC’s growing national appeal.
“APC continues to grow in strength, unity, and national appeal, due to Nigerians’ appreciation of the President and our APC Governors.”
