The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up Sub-Committees for the upcoming 2026 National Convention to ensure a transparent and credible Convention.
The party’s spokesperson, Felix Morka, announced this on Wednesday, adding that the Committees will coordinate critical operational, administrative, electoral, logistics, security and programme activities necessary for the seamless conduct of the Convention.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the 17 committees include Aspirants’ Screening Committee, Screening Appeal Committee, Election Committee, Election Appeal Committee, Venue Committee, Security Committee, Finance Committee and Media and Publicity Committee.
The others are Ceremonial, Programme and Events Committee, Delegates’ Accreditation Committee, Protocol Committee, Accommodation and Transportation Committee, Entertainment and Welfare Committee, Convention Legacy & Rapporteur Committee, Legal Advisory Committee, Medical and Emergency Response Committee and Secretariat / Technical Support Committee.
The statement urged all committee members to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, and in strict adherence to the party’s constitution and approved guidelines.
The APC reassures members, stakeholders and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent National Convention that further strengthens internal democracy and consolidates its progressive ideals.
