Former Governor Danjuma Goje of Gombe State has been expelled by his Kashere ward of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
Goje, a serving senator representing Gombe Central and Senator-elect under the platform of the APC, was expelled for alleged anti-party activities.
He was billed to appear before a five-man investigation team to probe into his alleged anti-party activities with a two-week timeframe to complete its report.
Expelled along with Goje were the member representing Yalmatu Deba Federal Constituency, Yunusa Abubakar, and a senator representing Gombe South, Bulus Amos.
Chairman of the ward, Tanimu Abdullahi, said the expulsion was sequel to the various petitions on alleged anti-party activities against Goje, which had not been favourably answered.
He said the committee served a notice of invitation to Goje to answer the charges against him in the spirit of fair hearing.
Abdullahi said, “In the course of investigations, the committee has deliberated on the following allegations against Senator Goje: Failure to attend the flag-off of the Gombe State APC campaign rally in Gombe which was led by the National Chairman of our great party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
