The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of supporting some faceless elements to destabilize the opposition party in the state.
This was revealed by the state party Chairman Shehu Wada Sagagi during a press conference on Wednesday in Kano.
He said the party’s attention was drawn to a news item that a practically non-existing and faceless group named “The Coalition of the Support Group of PDP” calling for the resignation of the embattled party’s national chairman Uche Secondus.
Sagagi said it is unequivocally clear that such a call did not emanate from the state chapter of PDP.
“This is the evil machinations of the enemies of our party in the state, and such disloyal members in connivance with the ruling party in the state have been having sleepless night in their attempt to create all kinds of lies to mislead our leaders and the general
public,” he said.
He said the party in the state is working tirelessly to see the success of the party in the upcoming 2023 general elections.
He also appealed for calm and prayers against such disgruntled elements who he said knows nothing other than disservice to anything good that will come to PDP.
Sagagi said the state chapter is loyal to Secondus, National Executive Council (NEC), National Working Committee (NWC) as well as the Board of Trustees (BoT).
