The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned individuals and groups it accused of undermining President Bola Tinubu’s achievements through misleading narratives and deliberate misinformation.
Spokesperson to the APC National Chairman, Yusuf Dingyadi, in a statement on Saturday in Sokoto, said opposition groups were using social media to spread “false and unfounded reports” aimed at downplaying the President’s performance.
He said such actions reflected “selfish interests rather than patriotism, national peace, security and nation-building”.
Dingyadi condemned the use of “misleading information, unfounded accusations and political propaganda” to discredit the administration’s achievements, particularly in northern Nigeria.
He urged Nigerians to acknowledge “improved security, developmental strides and ongoing projects” executed in the interest of the people and national progress.
“The use of vulgar language, criticism and false information is not expected from patriotic Nigerians,” he said, referencing the country’s challenges before the current administration.
Dingyadi said the APC leadership was delivering “economic transformation, improved security, and advances in agriculture, education, healthcare, roads, housing and social interventions.”
He said the party would continue efforts to improve livelihoods while countering “misinformation aimed at undermining the administration’s successes”.
Dingyadi urged Nigerians to be wary of “
misleading narratives by critics seeking support by condemning the government’s efforts.
