Bandits have gunned down a ward chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Illiya Auta, and several others during a night attack in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Mr Auta was APC chairman at Aribi ward before his death.
The assailants kidnapped people and rustled cows during the attack on Monday night.
The terrorists shot indiscriminately, forcing the villagers to flee their homes, according to a witness.
There wa sno immediate statement from the state police command over the incident.
