Voting have commenced in some polling units in Saturday governorship election in Anambra State.
In most polling units monitored by our correspondents, voters turn outs were impressive.
As early as 7:am, voters began to troop out to designated polling units in their respective locations.
The deputy governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, cast his vote at about 10:am at polling unit 005, Ward 3, Umueze Awovu in Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka Local Government Area.
He hailed the orderly conduct of the exercise, while describing the turn out of voters as impressive.
In Awka South local government area, votes also commenced in some polling units as early as 9:am.
In Awka township, accreditation and voting commenced at ward one, Umuka town hall polling unit, Nibo at about 9:25am.
Voting also commenced at Booth 002, Ofiyi Isuofia Aguata LGA, while Biomedical accreditation verification system was ongoing at Unit 002, Ofiyi, Isuofia, Aguata LGA.
Accreditation commences at Igwebike primary school, Unit 008 at 9:30 am.
