The Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said its candidate for the November 6 governorship election will emerge on June 26.
The National Organising Secretary of the PDP, Austin Akonbundu, who disclosed this on Sunday night, said the governorship primary will be preceded by ward congresses to elect a three-man Ad-hoc delegates on June 10 and 11.
The statement said collection of nomination and expression of interest forms is expected to begin on March 10 and end on March 31.
Aspirants are to pay N1 million for Expression of Interest Form and N20 Million for Nomination Form, the statement said, adding that female aspirants are to pay only N1million for the Expression of Interest Form, while they will get the nomination form for free of charge.
The PDP spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan, said this is part of efforts by the opposition party to encourage more women to contest for elective offices.
