The All Progressives Congress (APC) has elected Engineer Aliyu Momoh as the new Chairman in Kogi State.
Momoh emerged at the State’s Congress of the party which brought together stakeholders, top government officials, party elders, and delegates from across the 21 local government areas of the state in Lokoja on Tuesday.
In his remarks at the event, Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, commended party members for their orderly conduct and dedication to the ideals of the APC, emphasizing that internal democracy remains a pillar of the party’s growth in the state.
He described the congress as a demonstration of maturity and cohesion within the ranks of the party’s membership.
The Governor congratulated Engineer Momoh on his emergence, expressing confidence in his ability to provide inclusive leadership and sustain the party’s dominance across the state.
He urged the newly elected executives to work collectively, deepen grassroots mobilization, and maintain open channels of engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
Governor Ododo also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership style, assuring that Kogi State would demonstrate its political strength in the 2027 general elections.
In his acceptance speech, Engineer Aliyu Momoh, pledged to lead with transparency, loyalty, and a strong sense of responsibility to members across the state.
