Some players and officials of Akwa United Football Club have sustained various degrees of injuries during an accident along Ezionye-Enugu expressway.
The team disclosed this on its Facebook page on Friday.
It said one player and two officials were critically injured and had been taken to hospital.
The team was on its way to Kaduna for their match day 15, in the Nigerian Professional Football league with Jigawa Golden Stars, which will holdson Sunday.
